About Me
Well its about time you start to get to know something about me. I'm 26 years old, originally from Vancouver, British Columbia. Right now I'm living in St. Jon's, Newfoundland. Yes I know the new official name is Newfoundland and Labrador, but I'm on the Island and that's the Newfoundland part.
Right now I'm doing the Nautical Science Program at the Fisheries and Marine Institute of Memorial University of Newfoundland (MI). I also have been to other marine school across Canada. BCIT - Pacific Marine Training Campus (PMTI or PMTC) in North Vancouver, BC, and also Georgian College - Great Lakes International Marine Training Centre (GC) in Owen Sound Ontario. All three school have a Nautical Science Program's I've only had first hand of two of them; MI and GC. I can say that MI is far better then GC's program. As for which school if better of the three. I would have to say PMTC and MI have are pretty equal in the instructions, but gotta love the full motion bridge that MI has. If you want to find about more about the marine school please visit the Marine Website that I also have created
Well you can describe my personality as a quiet person (I am shy around people that I don't know, but when I do get to know someone I do tend to open up). When I do open up I can be weird (in a good way)
I like to go sailing, camping hiking, play sports, go blading, and SCUBA diving.

Well when you do get a chance to visit all the pages you can see that I have done quite a few things in my life. Not to go way back in my life, but I guess you can say that I started with the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets and while I was with them I sailed with the Canadian Navy ranging from trips lasting 4 days to 4 months mostly on one vessel. From there I headed over commercial shipping. First working for the Canadian Coast Guard at a Search and Rescue Base, then as a Ordinary Seaman with BC Ferries. After working at BC Ferries that's when I decided to go back to school for my watch keepingmates ticket. So far I have only done my work term with one company 'Algoma Central Marine'. My next work term is with a Canadian company called 'Fednav' which only have one Canadian registered ship. I am looking forward in joining this ship as it go's up to the Arctic and will be a great experience.
Well I hope you enjoy my site.
James
